The Diet

How many carbs do I eat? Do I eat anything special or weird? Am I juicing?

These are the questions people ask me. The answer is that I can buy all my food from the local grocery store, I don’t juice and yes, I do get to eat carbs.  In fact, I’m kind of eating all day long as I have six small meals each day – so I eat about every two hours. Plus, I get to have a cheat meal every week — so I never feel like I’m sacraficing all my favorite foods.  I may not be able to have pizza and pancakes every day, but at least I know I can have them on Saturday.

Just like the workout plan, I legally can’t share my exact diet plan that my Coach Shannon Dey creates for me every week, but she did send a sample meal plan to share.

SAMPLE MEALS

Meal 1

  • 4 egg whites
  •  1 cup spinach leaves
  •  1/2 cup oatmeal

Meal 2

  • 3 ounces tilapia
  •  2 ounces cottage cheese
  •  1 rice cake

Meal 3

  • 1 scoops protein
  •  2 cups spinach leaves w/ 1 tsp olive oil and balsamic vinegar
  •  1/4 cup chopped broccoli

Meal 4

  • 3 oz chicken breast
  •  1 slice bread
  •  1/3 slice cucumber and 2 thin slices of tomato soaked in balsamic vinegar

Meal 5

  • 3 oz  chicken ¼ grapefruit
  •  1/3 cup peas
  •  3 oz sweet potato

Meal 6

  • 3 oz turkey breast
  •  1/4 cup green beans
  •  3 oz squash
